Kaia and Kien's birthday was a couple of months ago. They share a birthday and she has never really had her own birthday party until this year, because we have been remodeling our house for the past few years. We would celebrate with cousins at their Grandma's house but this was her first real party with just friends and not just cousins. We had been planning and making party decorations for months before their birthday but when it came time to actually have the party, I felt so unprepared. Our house was a mess because I had been busy working and having photo sessions and editing and Easter and Spring Break that by the time it came to have the party, I was simply exhausted and overwhelmed!
I felt bad because I already told her she could have a party, so I asked my husband if it was okay this year to have the party somewhere else. He immediately texted me back saying, "YES!" He didn't feel ready to have a party at our house either, apparently... :) I messaged Brittni from Gigglethis Studios to save the day! I had been to a craft party at her house in November and remembered that she also did birthday parties! Perfect! I went to her website, paid for a party and she messaged me and we set a date and went over a few details of what crafts to do and such. All I had to do was show up with Kaia that day!
When we got there, they immediately got down to business with their crafting. Brittni, being a former elementary teacher, was awesome with the kids and great at leading the party! I just got to sit back and enjoy the party... and of course, take pictures!
There was a huge array of washi tape, scrapbook paper and such and the girls had the best time looking through everything and picking out just the right supplies for the crafts.
Brittni then showed them how to make adorable necklaces and paper bunting!
The girls got to work and finished up their creations just in time for a group picture, and then cake and rainbow punch!
She opened some presents and some adorable hand written cards and the girls were on their way!
The best part of all was I didn't have to clean a thing! We left and went to enjoy our day... Kaia decided she wanted to save up her birthday money she had gotten from family and use it to take sewing classes. She can't wait to sign up... which reminds me... Gigglethis Studios is now booking summer craft and sewing classes... not to mention birthday parties! They start soon I believe so you should sign up fast before the classes are all filled up! Thank you Brittni for making this a birthday Kaia will remember for sure!
