I had so much fun styling this shoot! I decided to use the tee pee for the inspiration and decided not to go with the traditional red for this shoot. I had the wings for years and never put them in use until now. The "love never ends" sign I got from etsy created by recipeforcrazy. She is on instagram as lesleyzellers and you should follow her! She makes awesome inspirational prints to hang in your home or give to friends! I have several of them throughout our house and it makes me happy whenever I see them! I saw this one and knew it would be perfect!
A few days before the shoot I made a quick trip to TJ Maxx and Ross and picked up some accessories. I got the blue arrows pillow and the milk glassses from Target a while back.
Nothing like waiting until the last minute, right? Oh, well. That's how I roll sometimes. I had been searching for the perfect accessories for a month or so but hadn't seen exactly what I wanted until I found these pillows! I love the touches of coral, yellow and turquoise! My favorite colors! I wanted to do a Valentine theme, but still have it be something you could hang in your home all year long and it wouldn't seem too seasonal.
The next issue I had was the weather... How would I do an outdoor shoot in the end of January?! I watched the weather and did re-schedule once because of it but I am soooo glad I did! We ended up with a 65 degree day with hardly any wind and the perfect clouds last Saturday! Sometimes you have to love Kansas and the crazy weather we have.
These two little cuties were first up! Don't you just love his little bow-tie? I also loved the black and white dress! They worked perfectly with the colors I chose to use for the shoot.
He didn't actually know how to use a straw but it got him to sit in one place for a little while so I could get a few good shots!
This little girl was posing it up for the camera! So cute.
Next up was this handsome little guy! I just love his blonde hair and I am a sucker for Adidas shoes... Love!
He came to the Hot Chocolate mini session too! It's always fun to see familiar faces. He really warmed up to me this time and I got this cute little smile.
Little boys are always happy when you feed them!
This adorable little girl just turned two and was on the go! She loved being by her Mommy's leg... but then she discovered she could go inside the tent and would smile like this when she would come out.
She ate a cookie or two and had some milk and she was on her way!
Last but not least were these super adorable siblings! I just LOVED their outfits and would love to have their Mommy be my stylist! I worked with them since the older boy was only 6 months old and now they have a new little guy to add to the fun!
Can't you just feel all of the LOVE? I can't wait to do the next mini session! I will be doing an Easter one and a Mommy and me this spring. I hope to see some of you there! Keep watching my facebook page and instagram for more details on those as we get closer!
