This weekend, my Dad came over to help us clear a section of our yard beside the garage that had gotten extremely overgrown. We had not touched that area of the yard in over 7 years... Trees had randomly grown and it was a mess!
We were working in another area of the yard and he called all of the kids over. I am extremely grateful for how my Dad always finds a fun way to include them whenever he is fixing things. He is very patient and kind to them. Kien wanted to hold the chainsaw, and with lots of supervision he got to take a picture with it! He was so proud. I promise there were no kids actually using the chainsaw!
When they came over there was a huge stack of branches and tree limbs to be moved to the curb for pick up.
Some were obviously bigger than others... :0
Kien only wanted to move the "big" trees!
Ethan decided to take his shirt off since it was nice outside...
And Nora decided she wanted to wear it!
Kien had to take his shirt off too of course to be like his big brother. He was excited about all of the ladybugs he found that day!
Of course little Bella had to join in the fun!
When we were finished Ethan and Kaia wanted to take their picture with the chainsaw too! It turns out yard work can be fun! It feels great to get another project checked off the list!
